Thermal time in the form of degree days which is calculated through the sum of (Tmax + Tmin)/2 for each day.

Analysis and Data Distribution - Canopy Temperature Depression (Ta - Tc)

As wireless nodes used in the experiment were sampling at different rates, we used linear interpolation to estimate intermediate values. A CTD value is calculated where there are measurements of all the filter and function variables within an hour of each other (so that interpolations can be made with reasonable reliability). CTD is not calculated if the filter variables cannot be calculated, even if the CTD function itself could be calculated, because it can't be determined if the conditions are suitable for calculating the CTD. The CTD calculation is then filtered by the values for solar flux and wind speed, and displayed if those two values are in the filter range.

The gaps in the graph are due to sensor hardware reliability issues. This can be seen in the multi-graph comparison chart as that graph presents raw values without applying any filters. In the month Oct to 16-Nov, all of the measurements involved are so widely scattered that it appears it wasn't possible to calculate any sensible values for CTD. If we simply dropped the "must have all the data available within 1 hour" rule, we could probably plot some CTD values for the missing month, but they would probably be drawn from the realms of fantasy.
